Since 2007, SoftBrands employees in India have been supporting children who live in a very poor community called Bandepalaya Village, which is located in a quarry area outside the city of Bangalore. SoftBrands employees and their families volunteer their time to teach and provide medical care at the Bandepalaya school and clinic. Company contributions will fund mid-day meals for the children and the teacher's salary for 2008, in addition to other key areas.

SoftBrands India in association with Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) hosted the ‘Next generation HR Leadership’ panel discussion. The forum provided a platform for HR professionals to gain perspectives as the industry veterans engaged in effective knowledge sharing and focused debate on the future of HR leadership.
